9 Month Check-Up
Wednesday Hunter had his 9-month check-up, which was really more like a 10 month check-up. He now weighs 20 pounds and is 29.5 inches long. This month he was supposed to get a break from shots, but apparently he had missed one. We got the go ahead to start introducing whole milk in a sippy in hopes of weaning him off the bottle by his birthday. He has never been a fan of drinking water, breast milk, or formula from a sippy and we can now add whole milk to the list. This morning he took a sip from his cup and then proceeded to spit it out. After a few more sips and spits, he was only interested in banging his cup on his highchair tray. I even tried mixing a little formula with the cow's milk, but he still refused. He finally drank the milk mixture from a bottle. The only luck I have had getting him to drink anything from the sippy is to hold him and for him to use the soft tipped sippy cup like a bottle, but I afraid that could be counterproductive. So if anyone has any tips let me know.
