July 2010

July was crazy month. June 30 our new floor was installed and just in the knick of time. That very same day Katelyn figured out how to crawl. I was beyond ecstatic to no longer have concrete slab flooring in my dining, living and hall. It would have been a nightmare with a crawler.

Once the floor was installed, the renovations continued. We still needed a new cabinet in our kitchen, trim and the walls repainted. What should have taken 2-3 days to complete ended up taking the entire month of July because the first carpenter/paint crew our contractor sent out did a horrible job. They then had to send out another crew to fix everything. We ended up spending several days away from the house either at friend's houses or the mall. Finally July 30, our house was finished!!!

Even with the crazinest of July, I did manage to snap a few pictures. Katelyn was 7 months old and Hunter 33 months.

Katelyn loves to steal her brother's sippy cups.

Hunter asked if he could help her

Now that she can crawl she follows her brother everywhere.

Mr. Fix It - Hunter loves Bob The Builder and likes to run around asking "Can we fix it?".

Helping Daddy fix the mower

Trying to crawl up on his lap.

Our sweet corn was ready to pick the beginning of July. Hunter loved helping Daddy find the ears.

Here they are shucking corn.

I tried to get him to look at the camera, but he was too busy.

Hunter giving Katelyn her first cracker.

Katelyn and her buddy Eli.

Hunter and his crane.

Katelyn likes to chew on legos and destroy Hunter's towers.

Hunter grabbed these boots out my closet and started walking around the house. I was amazed how fast he could walk in heels.

Crawling to brother's room.

Katelyn got her first tooth June 30 and in July she got two more. If you look closely you can see the bottom two in this picture.

This summer we have been enjoying popsicles after dinner. Here Katelyn is enjoying a homemade peach banana popsicle.
