Last summer we spent all of our time focusing on renovating the inside of our house. This year we decided to put a little energy into landscaping the front yard. Earlier this year I made an appointment with a landscape designer at TLC to have some plans drawn up. This spring we went to work implanting the plan by working on the area around our porch. Towards the end of the summer Jonathan put in a large perennial bed along the entire front side the house. Next spring we still have a few more things to plant, and hopefully by summer 2011 everything will be well established and need minimal upkeep.

I thought Jonathan did a wonderful job putting in the bed. He spent several weekends digging up Bermuda grass, adding topsoil, and positioning the
pavers exactly how his indecisive hormonal wife wanted them. :)
