Potty Training Katelyn

Katelyn has been potty trained for months now. 

January 2011 - She began to show an interest in the potty around 13 months, so we got out the frog potty.

February 2011 – To our surprise she continued to like her potty, and would often follow Hunter to the bathroom.  By fall 2011 she would occasionally use the potty.

December 2011 – We knew she was getting close to potty training because the first half our Angel Fire trip she choose to use the potty and had no dirty diapers.

January 2012 – She began trying to change her own dirty diaper.  Fun times!  I am glad that stage didn’t last too long.

February 2012 – She began to refuse to wear diapers and only wanted pull-ups.  She also began to only wet in her pull-ups.  We tried to moving her to regular underwear, but she was having accidents all of the time.  Since she refused to wear training panties, we switched her back to pull-ups until she was ready to train.

March 2012 – By the end of the month, she was starting to get the hang of using the potty so we tried underwear again.  It wasn’t long after that she refused to wear pull-ups.  I am not sure how, but we managed not to have any huge accidents away from the home. 

Summer 2012 – By early summer she was accident free the majority of the time.
