Fishing Derby

My Dad has been taking Lynde to the local fishing derby since she was about Hunter's age. This year he really wanted to take all three kids, so last Thursday Hunter and I headed to Elkhart. Unfortunately by Dad ended up spending the weekend in the hospital, because he had an irregular heartbeat. On top of that there were two people with swine flu, so the hospital was not allowing visitors.

I was nervous about traveling alone with Hunter, especially after our Easter trip. I was very thankful that he cheerfully (for the most part) watched his DVD player and listened to music the entire trip.

Hunter and Epic are best buds - well most of the time. Hunter has realized that he is a bit stronger and steadier than Epic, and therefore he likes to push him around.

Friday we went to Walsh, CO to have lunch with an old friend and Lynde picked up a great tent at a garage sale.

Hunter loved sitting on Nici's lap for about one minute and then he would want to run around. It was a bit of a challenge to keep him entertained and safe.

Hunter loved swinging and going down the slide with Lynde.

Luckily my Dad was well enough that he could go outside the hospital a few minutes to visit with us before we headed back to OKC.
